SEH Can Do More – Individual Network Solutions Directly for Your Company

SEH has developed network solutions for a wide variety of industries for more than 25 years. When developing innovative network solutions, however, we do not limit ourselves to our own existing products; we also develop specific products directly for our customers. It is for this reason alone that, in addition to resellers, we can count renowned companies throughout the entire computer industry amongst our partners and customers for whom we have developed products, components and expansions over the years. In addition, we have issued licenses for the use of our technologies in numerous cases.

What Can SEH Do?

Alongside our product portfolio of self-developed products, we develop embedded network systems for customer-specific applications. In doing so, we are able to adapt ourselves to the needs at hand: Regardless of whether it concerns an independent network system or the integration within a system which already exists – SEH has the (network) solution.

A wide variety of tasks can be completed using the basis of our platform. In doing so, both comprehensive standard interfaces as well as interfaces custom-made for the customers are available. This results in unique, highly integrated solutions which are individually tailored to the needs of our customers. Thanks to the high level of integration of specially developed hardware modules and specially adapted software components, we achieve an outstanding price/performance ratio within extremely short development cycles.

Even special interface requirements or unusual protocols can be realized with no problems at all. We develop the network solutions in close collaboration with our customers so that not only is the optimal system solution guaranteed, on-time completion is ensured as well.

What Can SEH Do for You?

  • Would you like to connect your device to a network but “don’t have a clue” when it comes to networks?
  • Do you need an internal network connection for your device?
  • Do you need a standalone network solution?
  • Do you have a trivial, complex or unusual requirement for a network device?
  • Would you like to connect your device to the network but have to keep it available at all times in power saving mode?
  • Would you like to connect your device to the network, normally remain in stand-by mode and have it reached via the network from a PC application?

SEH Can Do A Lot More

  • We can integrate ourselves within your device as a subsystem so that your data continues to be delivered via the normal interface as usual. These can be standard interfaces such as USB, Centronics or PCI and your generic interfaces can also be integrated with no problems. Alternatively, we can export your USB interface to the PC easily as a virtual USB connection.
  • Problem areas such as energy efficiency can be solved with our technology with no problems at all since we manage the entire system down to the last bit.
  • Switch your device into power saving mode – we will alert you when data arrive over the network for your device: The device boots via "Wake-On-LAN" from a command over the network. Our low-power mode even makes it possible to reduce the entire energy balance to 1 W – that helps the environment and your budget. We are able to realize this by using the newest technologies, such as the IEEE 802.3az standard (EEE = Energy Efficient Ethernet).

Technical Features

You will find additional information about our technologies in the following.

  • Our system is FPGA based. A complete microprocessor system with storage connection and modules for connecting to the external world are implemented in FPGA.
  • All internal modules are developed in-house and have been successfully used for many years. In the event of customer requests, this allows us to intervene within the system directly and realize functions, which is not possible with externally purchased closed IP modules.
  • The modules can have single or multiple uses so that, for example, systems with multiple network interfaces can have USB and PCI connections in one FPGA. The only limits are the size of the FPGA and the FPGA technology itself.
  • An optimized Linux 2.6 kernel which is oriented towards the performative connection of the underlying hardware is used in the system.

The block diagram provides you with an overview of the interfaces listed below. For technical reasons, some interfaces require FPGA-external components.
